Skills are the capability units of StoreClaw. After a skill is enabled, StoreClaw can perform tasks such as Shopify business analysis, social media search, or product research. Each invocation runs according to the skill definition and archives the resulting output afterward. The Skills page is divided into two areas: Skill Hub for discovering and installing skills, and My Skills for managing installed skills.
Discover and Enable Skills
When you need help with a new business task, go to Skill Hub to find a suitable skill:
- Filter from multiple angles
- Browse by category: The tabs at the top cover four areas: market analysis, products and merchandising, marketing and content, and store operations.
- Search by keyword: Use the search box in the upper-right corner and enter terms such as
"Amazon"or"Listing"to locate tools.
- Review details: Open a skill card to read its core functions and suitable scenarios.
- Install the skill: Click the + button on the detail page to add the skill to My Skills.
- Enable the skill: After installation, use the switch on the skill card to decide whether it is active in the current conversation.
- Invoke the skill: After it is enabled, click [Try it out] to launch a call directly.
Manage and Configure Skills
On the My Skills tab, you can manage installed skills:
- Status control: More enabled skills is not always better. To reduce unnecessary interference when StoreClaw interprets your request, enable only the skills needed for the current stage of work.
- Connector dependencies: Some skills depend on specific connectors in order to work properly. For example, a Shopify analysis skill requires a Shopify connection first.
- Uninstall a skill: Click the
...button in the lower-right corner of the card and choose Uninstall. - Custom skills: Click Add My Skill in the upper-right corner to configure and publish a custom skill based on your own workflow logic.
Invoke a Skill in Chat
After a skill is installed and enabled, you can use it directly in New task or inside a Project:
- Option A: Slash command
Type/in the input box and the system shows the list of enabled skills automatically. For example, you can choose/affiliate-marketing. - Option B: Natural language trigger
Describe the task directly, for example, "Analyze the market performance of this portable juicer." StoreClaw will match and run the relevant skill based on that description.
FAQ
Q: Why did StoreClaw not invoke the specific skill I expected?
A: Go to My Skills and confirm that the relevant skill is turned on. If the task involves data analysis, also check that the required connector has been linked successfully.
Q: Do official skills require extra payment to enable?
A: No. Official skills are included in all plans. Third-party skills may have their own pricing set by the developer, so refer to the skill detail page for the exact cost.
Q: If I delete a skill, will the files it created in the past be lost?
A: No. Uninstalling a skill only means it can no longer be invoked in the current conversation. Files the skill created earlier and archived in the Library are not affected.
