A connector is the authorization channel between StoreClaw and an external platform. After a platform is connected, StoreClaw can access the relevant functions of that platform within the authorized scope to read or act on the corresponding data. You can revoke authorization at any time.
StoreClaw provides built-in connectors for Shopify, Amazon, and social platforms. After a platform is connected, StoreClaw can read orders, inventory, engagement data, and other business information as needed, so its analysis is based on the data you have authorized.
What Connectors Are For
Connectors primarily provide business context to StoreClaw:
- Platform access: Supports ecommerce, social media, and marketing channels.
- Data retrieval: Reads business metrics such as inventory, conversion rate, and engagement rate within the authorized scope.
- Authorization setup: Uses API credentials or OAuth authorization. Access can be revoked at any time.
Connect a Platform
- Open the connection center: Click Connectors in the left navigation.
Filter by category: Switch the tabs at the top to find the relevant category:
- Ecommerce: Shopify, Amazon, Genstore, Wix, WooCommerce, eBay, and others.
- Social Media: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Twitter/X, and others.
- Marketing: Gmail and additional platforms that will be added over time.
Authorize the connection (Shopify example):
- Click the Shopify card to open the connection window.
- Enter the
Shop Domain,Client ID, andClient Secret. To learn how to get the ShopifyClient IDandClient Secret, see Connect Your First Store. - Click Connect Shopify to finish the setup.
- Verify the status: After the connection succeeds, the card shows Connected in the upper-right corner.
What You Can Do After Connecting
After a connection is established, different platforms make additional data and actions available to StoreClaw. These capabilities are used only when you trigger them in chat or include them in a scheduled task. Connecting a platform does not start these workflows automatically by itself.
Ecommerce channels (Shopify, Amazon, Genstore, SellerSprite, and others):
- Order analysis: When you ask for order-related analysis, StoreClaw can read order data and generate sales reports within the authorized scope.
- Inventory review: When you ask StoreClaw to check inventory, or when a scheduled task runs, it can review stock levels and flag items that may need restocking.
- Customer analysis: When requested, StoreClaw can summarize customer profiles, purchase history, and related information to support marketing decisions.
Example prompts:
- "Analyze my Shopify sales data from last week and identify best sellers and potential issues."
- "Forecast which products in my inventory will need restocking over the next two weeks."
Social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and others):
- Content distribution: When you explicitly ask StoreClaw to publish, it can post approved content to authorized social accounts.
- Engagement analysis: When requested, or through a scheduled task, StoreClaw can review post performance, comment sentiment, and engagement metrics.
Example prompts:
- "Analyze my recent Instagram posts and tell me which ones had the highest engagement rate."
- "Draft a product promotion post suitable for TikTok."
Marketing channels (Gmail):
- Content drafting and send planning: When requested, StoreClaw can help draft customer emails and organize outreach ideas based on your workflow.
Example prompts:
- "Write a reorder email for past customers with a strong subject line."
- "Analyze customer inquiry emails in my Gmail inbox and summarize the most common questions."
Manage Connected Connectors
Disconnect: For connected ecommerce or social channels, you can disconnect at any time. Click the connected platform card and select Disconnect in the dialog.
Tip: Disconnecting does not delete any data on the original platform and does not affect platform operations. It only prevents StoreClaw from accessing that platform's data. Related skill capabilities remain unavailable until the platform is connected again.
- Reauthorize: If a connection becomes invalid, such as when authorization expires, related actions in StoreClaw may fail. In that case, repeat the connection flow to authorize again.
FAQ
Q: Do I have to connect a platform before I can use StoreClaw?
A: No. Connectors add business context, but they are not required for basic use. Even without any connected platform, you can still use StoreClaw for conversations such as drafting copy or discussing analysis approaches. After a connection is added, StoreClaw can generate analysis and recommendations based on authorized business data.
Q: Is it safe to connect store data?
A: StoreClaw uses official OAuth flows or API keys to connect to platforms and does not store your account password. The authorization scope is limited to the minimum permissions required by the feature, and all API keys are stored in encrypted form. You can revoke access at any time either in StoreClaw or directly in the third-party platform's admin settings.
Q: Why do some connectors require a Secret while others just redirect to sign in?
A: This depends on the security model of the platform. Ecommerce platforms such as Shopify usually require API credentials to support stable data synchronization, while social platforms more commonly use OAuth redirect authorization.
Q: Will StoreClaw automatically operate my account after a connection is established?
A: No, unless you explicitly configure automation in Scheduled Tasks. Publishing or modification requests are not carried out automatically without your confirmation.
Q: Shopify is connected, but StoreClaw says it cannot get permissions in chat. What should I check?
A: Confirm the following:
- You selected the correct store during authorization.
- The platform account contains relevant data. For example, a newly created store may not have historical orders yet.
- The required authorization scope is complete. Some platforms let you choose scopes manually during authorization, so make sure StoreClaw's required scopes are included.
Q: Can I connect multiple accounts for the same platform?
A: The current version supports one account per connector.
Q: If I disconnect a platform, will previously generated reports still be available?
A: Yes. Analysis reports and conversation history already stored in StoreClaw are not affected. Disconnecting only stops future data retrieval and does not delete existing content.
Q: Why can't StoreClaw see buyer email addresses on Amazon?
A: This is due to Amazon's privacy policy. No third-party tool, including StoreClaw, can access buyer email addresses. If you need to contact a buyer, use Amazon's internal messaging system.
Q: Does connector authorization expire?
A: Some platform authorizations may eventually require reauthorization, for example if the platform revokes the token, changes its permissions, or the user disconnects access on the platform side. When supported, StoreClaw refreshes authorization automatically, but if a connector becomes invalid you can simply reconnect it.
Q: Where can I revoke StoreClaw's access to a third-party platform?
A: In addition to disconnecting it in StoreClaw, you can revoke access directly in the corresponding platform settings, such as Shopify's Apps page or the Google account page for Third-party app access. Both methods have the same effect. It is best to use one method consistently to avoid state mismatches.

A: 不必。
- 授权时选择的是正确的店铺;
- 该平台账号有对应数据(如新建店铺可能没有历史订单);
Q:Amazon
