After you connect Wix, StoreClaw can read site, order, product, and related data within the authorized scope for analysis, reports, and follow-up automation tasks. This article explains how to obtain the three pieces of information required to connect Wix to StoreClaw: API Key Token, Site ID, and Account ID.
Why Connect Wix
After the connection is completed, StoreClaw can use Wix data for tasks such as:
- Store data analysis: Generate business insights based on order, product, and site data.
- Site-level targeting: Use the Site ID to identify the correct site accurately and avoid confusion in multi-site accounts.
- Account-level API access: Use the Account ID together with the API Key to complete account-level authorized access.
Before You Start
Before you begin, make sure your current Wix account meets the following requirements:
- You are signed in to the target Wix account.
- Your current account role is Owner or Co-owner.
- If your account only has a standard role such as Collaborator, you usually cannot create an API Key.
Information Required for the Wix Connection
To connect Wix to StoreClaw, you need to obtain the following three items in order:
- API Key Token
- Site ID
- Account ID
The full process usually takes about 5 minutes.
Step 1: Create an API Key and Copy the Token
Wix provides an account-level API Key. A single key can access all authorized sites under that account, so it is recommended to grant only the permissions required for your current use case.
1. Open the API Keys Page
- Sign in to your Wix account.
- After signing in, choose Account Settings -> API Keys from the left navigation.
- On the API Keys page, click Generate API Key in the upper-right corner.

2. Fill in the Key Name and Configure Permissions
- Open your browser and go to
https://manage.wix.com/account/api-keys - In the Key details section, enter an easy-to-recognize name in the Name field.
- The recommended name is
StoreClaw Connectionso the key is easy to identify later. - The name limit is 30 characters. It is best to include the platform name and intended use.
- Scroll down to the Permissions section and select the permissions you need.
Below is a quick explanation of the common permission options:
| Permission option | Description | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
All permissions | Includes all account-level and site-level data access permissions | Recommended for the StoreClaw connection |
Basic permissions | Base permissions required for API Key requests | Included by default; no need to select separately |
All account permissions | Manage account-level data such as premium services and sub-accounts | Select only if needed |
All site permissions | Manage site-level data such as store, bookings, and events | Select based on your use case |
Tip: A good naming format is StoreClaw Connection. If your team creates multiple keys, you can also add the purpose or environment name to make them easier to distinguish.
Note: For security, follow the principle of least privilege and grant only the permissions you actually need. In most cases, StoreClaw needs All site permissions to read orders, products, and customer data. If you also need cross-site or account-level management, then consider enabling All account permissions.
3. Generate and Copy the Token
- After confirming the name and permissions, click Generate Key in the upper-right corner.
- Wix immediately opens a dialog showing the full token.
- Click Copy Token & Close to copy and save the token.

Note: The token is shown in full only once. After the dialog is closed, Wix will not display the full token again. If you forget to copy it, you will need to delete the old key and generate a new one.
Step 2: Get the Site ID
The Site ID identifies a specific site under your Wix account. When StoreClaw reads site-level data such as orders and products, it uses the Site ID to target the correct site.
1. Extract the Site ID from the Dashboard URL
- Sign in to Wix and open the dashboard for the target site.
- Check the browser address bar. The URL usually looks like this:
https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/{Site ID}/home
- The UUID string between
/dashboard/and/homeis the Site ID.

2. Copy the Site ID
- Click the browser address bar and select the full URL.
- Find and copy only the UUID section between
/dashboard/and/home. - If one account contains multiple sites, open each site dashboard separately and extract the Site ID for the correct one.
Step 3: Get the Account ID
The Account ID is the unique identifier of your Wix account. It is an account-level ID and is different from the Site ID. In most cases, one Wix account has one Account ID.
1. Find the Account ID on the API Keys Page
- Return to the API Keys page.
- Find the Account ID panel on the right side of the page.
- Click the Copy ID button to copy it.

Complete the Configuration in StoreClaw
After you have the three required values, return to StoreClaw and complete the setup:
- In the left navigation of StoreClaw, click Connectors.
- Find the Wix card and click it.
Fill in the following fields:
- API Key: Paste the token you copied earlier.
- Site ID: Paste the site ID extracted from the Wix dashboard URL.
- Account ID: Paste the account ID copied from the right-side panel of the API Keys page.
- Click the connect button to finish the setup.
- When the Wix card shows a connected status, the connection is complete.

FAQ
Q: Why can't I see the Generate API Key button?
A: Usually only the Owner or Co-owner of the account can create API Keys. A standard Collaborator does not have this permission. Please ask the account Owner to create the key or upgrade your role to Co-owner.
Q: What if I closed the dialog and forgot to copy the token?
A: For security reasons, Wix does not display the full token again. You will need to return to the API Keys page, delete the old key from the menu on the right, and generate a new API Key.
Q: Where can I find the Site ID?
A: Open the dashboard of the corresponding Wix site and check the browser address bar. The UUID string between /dashboard/ and /home in the URL is the Site ID.
Q: What are API Key, Site ID, and Account ID used for?
A: Each one serves a different purpose: the API Key is used for authentication, the Site ID identifies the specific site, and the Account ID identifies the overall Wix account. StoreClaw requires all three to connect Wix.
Q: Can one account create multiple API Keys?
A: Yes. Wix supports multiple API Keys, which is useful if you want separate keys for different apps or team members so that permissions can be managed and revoked independently.
Q: How do I revoke or update an API Key?
A: Go to the API Keys page, find the corresponding key, and delete it from the menu on the right to invalidate it immediately. If you need an updated key, delete the old one and generate a new one.
Wix
- API Key Token
- Site ID
- Account ID
Token

StoreClaw Connection,
Basic permissions | API Key
All account permissions |
All site permissions |
Token

Site ID
Site ID
https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/{Site ID}/home

2. 复制 Site ID
Account ID
Account ID

- 登录 Wix,进入 Account Settings -> API Keys。
